Our Standards
In order for a product or service to be Certified Human Art, it must not use AI or AI-adjacent tools in the creation or production of that art. No part of any element - including initial ideation - can be authored or created by AI.
For musicians, it means all music must be created, produced, mixed, mastered, and recorded by human artists. All visual assets, including digital images, video, CD/vinyl/cassette packaging must have been designed and created by human artists.
For authors, it means that all ideas, words, and editing, are from humans. All accompanying digital book covers and physical book packaging elements must be designed by human artists.
For visual artists - including graphic designers, illustrators, and painters - this means that all elements of your finished artwork must be created and ideated by human artists. No part of your art may be drawn, painted, or finished by AI or AI-adjacent tools.
For filmmakers, distributors, or television producers, this means all talent and related images featured within your product are created by human artists. The art must not include any AI representations of actors or characters and all aspects of production were executed by human artists.
We maintain strict certification standards. When applying for People Make Art certification and when using the Certified Human Art logo, artists and businesses must be prepared to submit details and proof of human creation and ownership. Additionally, artists and companies must submit a signed promise that they support and promote Human-created artists and that all application materials are truthful and honest.
